We have put together a boiler fault code search form so our customers and others can use to recognise and understand a fault, making it as straightforward as possible, modern boilers display a digital boiler error code to let you know exactly what's causing the fault.
When your boiler does breakdown and you need a boiler repair who better to repair your boiler than THS Plumbing & Heating Northampton - Our gas engineer are extremely knowledgeable with over 20 years of boiler repair experience, we can give advice no other heating engineer can.
The most common boiler fault is low pressure. With over 80% of boilers being the combination type, a lack of pressure means it will not function or won't be able to work as efficiently as it could do.
Most boilers need to have around 1 to 1.5bar of pressure in the system to fire up. If there is not enough pressure then the boiler senses that it will not be able to move enough water around the system so will it will not fire up and it will display a fault code on the boiler display panel.
A condensing boiler is an efficient type of boiler commonly found in most homes today. The boilers are able to collect gas generated by burning fuels like gas and oil and use it to heat water entering the system, saving money and reducing carbon emissions in the process.
Condensing boilers are far more efficient than non-condensing boilers, with newer models able to reach over 90% efficiency. Non-condensing boilers are only able to achieve between 70-80% efficiency.
When choosing your next boiler, the condensing boiler will probably be the replacement.
A well maintained condensing boiler will keep running at peak performance and will keep your energy bills down if you follow our boiler service advice. Believe it or not, a condensing boiler will last well over 10 years old if you keep it well maintained.
