What is Hard Water?
Hard water is defined as water with high levels of calcium and magnesium ions. Usually, formed when water percolates through deposits of limestone, chalk or gypsum which are largely made up of calcium carbonate, which is the annoying hard off-white stuff that builds up around your taps, showerheads and other places that the hard water comes into contact with.
Limescale can be bad for your plumbing system and cleaning limescale can be a nightmare!
